3 Trends I love for Spring / Summer 2021 (and How to Wear Them)

Another season, another bunch of designer catwalk shows and fashion trends you need to know about. Here’s my pick of the best trends for Spring / Summer 2021 and some tips on how to wear them.

Brights

This season, after dark is illuminated with fun, bold bright dresses and separates. I adore these gorgeous jewel toned pieces, they light up even the grayest of winter nights. This trend is sure to give your wardrobe a pop of colour this season.

Seen at: Proenza Schouler, Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Bottega Veneta and Valentino

How to wear: team with neutral pieces, like black or khaki, it’ll make the bold colour pop even more!

Oversized Tee / Neon Bodysuit / Mini Skirt

High Hemlines

This season, it’s all about sky high hemlines on skirts and dresses. When I say short, I mean short. Like, micro mini short. This trend is all about showing some leg and sophisticated sensuality. It’s featuring everywhere right now.

Seen at: Versace, Fendi, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Prada, Christian Dior, Moschino, Max Mara, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Chanel and Emporio Armani

How to wear: Dress up with some heels or thigh high boots. You could also wear this more modestly with some barely black tights. Personally, I’d always say it’s showing off one or the other – legs or chest – so if you’re going super short, keep it covered up top.

Satin-Finish Mini Skirt / Faux Leather Mini Skirt

After Dark Glamour

This season is glittering with sparkles in the form of metallics, sequins and heavily embellished styles. With this trend, being overdressed is definitely a thing of the past.

Seen at: Fendi, Tom Ford, Gucci, Versace, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Christian Dior, Burberry, Christopher Kane, Alexander McQueen and Lanvin

How to wear: go head to toe in the same hue for a super chic, grown up look.

Pleated Skirt / Halterneck Top
