My beauty routine has definintely changed in lockdown, and so has the contents of my make-up bag as a result! Here’s a run through of 5 of my most loved products in my make-up bag and my tried and tested review of them.
Bobbi Brown Radiance Boost Exfoliating Face Mask
This is the best exfoliator I’ve ever used. Ever. This mask gently exfoliates, soothes and softens the skin to reveal a stunningly glowy complexion. The mask contains Superfine Walnut Grains to gently clarify dead skin cells and orange oil to awaken tired, dull skin. I use this once a week at most. It’s a little more expensive than the other products on this list, but it lasts for months and months.
BioGlow Papaya Peel Hydrating Mask
I’ve always been a big fan of face masks and this one is definitely my favourite. I use it twice a week. Not only is this product delicious smelling and easy to apply, it’s also infused with papaya extract to refine and purify the skin. I like to apply mine with a face mask spatula, as the gel is quite sticky. It dries hard and clear, and peels off like when you have sunburn. (So satisfying.)
HEMA Glow Moisture Cream
My go to moisturiser is the HEMA moisturising glow cream, infused with organic Centella asiatic and açai berry extract. It’s lightly tinted formula adapts to most skin tones perfectly, so I actually wear this like a BB cream. What I love about it most, is that my skin is instantly radiant. I discovered it when I lived in London, but I’m hoping HEMA will open a store up here in Edinburgh, Scotland, soon.
MAC Extreme Dimension 3D Mascara in Black
What I love about this mascara is the large brush applicator that creates extreme volume *and* curl. I love the unusual shape of the tube, as it makes it easy to apply it. It comes out easily without clumps or smudging. What more could a girl want?
Nars Lipstick in ‘Orgasm’
NARS utterly iconic Lipstick was actually a present from my cousin, Eva, during lockdown. It’s made with a blend of moringa and passion fruit seed oils, this hydrating formula enhances colour vibrancy while conditioning lips for effortlessly light-wearing colour. They come in about 60 colours, in matte, satin or sheer finishes, but I personally like the sheer. I find it’s more buildable and hydrating.
